Starting off on the road to developing a research idea can be a daunting process. At PORSCH we have many members with experience of working on local, national and international research projects. PORSCH would like to support more clinicians and non-academics involved in the criminal justice system, including people with lived experience and third sector organisations, to engage in research.
If you are a PORSCH member and feel that you fit these criteria, please contact us for advice and support using the contact page and we will pass on questions/ requests to our research ambassadors who have knowledge and experience in your area of interest.
They can offer you advice and support on how to move your idea forward, give advice on methods, team members and offer informal supervision and signposting.
Our research ambassadors currently have extended knowledge in areas such as:
Offender public health issues
Mental Health of offenders
Self-harm/ suicide
Violence (sexual and non-sexual)
Prison operational issues
Forensic Assessment
Sleep
Realist Theory
Research Methods
There are over 400 members of PORSCH who can be accessed for advice and support. To become a member or request advice and support, please use the contacts page, using Research Ambassadors in the subject line.
